Outcome ASSESSING 2022-23: Academic year-long CARE peer educators will develop public speaking and program/event coordination skills, in addition to demonstrating a high level of knowledge relating to power-based personal violence dynamics and campus/community resources. Outcomes will be measured through evaluations and direct assessment by CARE staff.
Benchmark 1.) 100% of students in the CARE peer education programs will receive a passing score of 70% on an exam developed and administered by CARE staff which indicates a high level of knowledge on topics related to power-based personal violence dynamics. 2.) 100% of students in CARE peer education programs will deliver a practical presentation to CARE staff who will assess success using the CARE Rubric for Peer Educator Programs which measures knowledge and skills relating to presentation skills, program/event coordination, social norms, definitions of violence, bystander intervention, trauma-informed response, support resources, and reporting rights and options. Having completed this practical presentation and passed with at least a score of 24 out of a possible 40 points, students in peer education programs will plan, receive approval for, and facilitate workshops and presentations.
