Outcome As a result of participating in student staff training, all Cross-Cultural Center staff will learn communication, problem-solving, and public speaking skills.
Benchmark 100 % of student staff will be able to do the following as a result of attending training: - Share their 1 minute elevator speech detailing what their role is and that the CCC does as a department at UCI. - Learn proper etiquette when communicating via phone, email, or other formats. - Will learn problem-solving skills when dealing with constituents and community members. Most of the assessment will be conducted in a qualitative way including utilizing essay questions and verbal responses to our assessment questions. Example of questions asked: (likert scale and verbal responses accepted) 1. As a result of participating in this training, do you feel more confident in sharing your 1 minute elevator speech? 2. As a result of participating in this training, do you feel more prepared to answer questions and problem solve while working your shifts in the office? 3. As a result of participating in this training, do you feel more confident in communicating with constituents using the phone, email, or in person?
