Outcome The GAPP program will engage 20-30 undergraduate students that identify as low-income, first generation, or students from historically underrepresented communities to participate in and complete a 3-part workshop series to learn: 1. The Graduate application process for graduate school, 2. How to financially support their graduate education, and 3. The role that mentorship plays in being successful in graduate school.
Benchmark By February 2021, 75% of participants will have completed the first workshop session and learned about the different components of the graduate application process and as well as identify 3 graduate programs they would like to apply to. By May 2021, 75% of program participants will have learned about the ways that they can financially support their graduate school plans and developed their graduate portfolios that articulate their plans for applying, financing, and completed a draft of their CV.
