Outcome |
Students who participate in the Green Dot Bystander Intervention Training will demonstrate both an increase in self-efficacy concerning their ability to carry out reactive bystander intervention behaviors and the ability to identify potentially violent situations and carry out reactive bystander intervention actions. Outcomes will be measured through pre- and post-survey at the time of training in addition to a follow-up survey administered approximately three months following the training. |
Benchmark |
1.) At least 85% of Green Dot participants will report in the post-test that they would intervene in a situation to prevent violence using reactive bystander intervention behaviors by agreeing or strongly agreeing that they would intervene in specified situations presented in the post-test.
2.) 80% of Green Dot participants will demonstrate the ability to identify potentially violent situations by identifying red dot behaviors in a video presented in the follow-up survey. 80% of Green Dot participants who have witnessed a potentially violent situation during the period of time between the training and the administration of the follow-up survey will demonstrate the ability to carry out reactive bystander intervention actions by describing the actions taken in that situation in the follow-up survey. |
