Outcome As a result of participating in the Visions program, students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of how to develop, present, and pitch an advocacy project to a group of administrators and students for potential funding by developing and executing an oral presentation using PowerPoint or other visual means.
Benchmark 100% of those who participated in the Visions program will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of how to develop, present, and pitch an advocacy project to a group of administrators and students for potential funding by developing and executing an oral presentation using PowerPoint or other visual means. Assessment Summary: At the beginning of the Winter Quarter, students will be placed into self-selected groups based on the advocacy project they wish to develop. Throughout the Winter and Spring Quarters, students will attend weekly classes/meetings/workshops focusing on areas such as: advocacy project development, presentation skills, pitching skills, professional communication, leadership/team building, and personal development. In the middle of Spring Quarter, each group will finalize the development of their advocacy project by creating an oral presentation using a visual means that will be presented and pitched to a group of administrators and students for funding awards, if applicable. If successful, the project will be funded, if applicable, and the groups will be able to execute and complete their advocacy project for the remaining of the Spring Quarter.
