Outcome |
Through the Student-Initiated Outreach and Retention programs, UCI volunteers will foster critical dialogue, mentorship, and reimagine the educational system to improve college access, retention, and graduation rates for historically underrepresented and under-resourced communities within the surrounding Orange County and Los Angeles county area.
UNIT OUTCOME: SIO/SIR program volunteers will attend a 3-part workshops series through a train-the-trainer (T4T) model to support high school college mentorship programs.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOME: SIO/SIR program volunteers will gain knowledge and understanding to articulate the importance of educational equity, become agents of change as advocates for improving diversity rates and gain public speaking and presentation skills. |
