Outcome |
Through the SOARing for Education Affiliation program, participants will learn leadership skills that will allow them to effectively implement their Student-Initiated Outreach and/or Retention programs during the 2021-22 academic year. By June 2022, program participants will showcase/demonstrate their knowledge of skills learned from industry experts and/or SOAR training(s) by implementing 2-3 of these best practices in their outreach/retention programs. Students will be required to present a final presentation using the SOAR Affiliate rubric to demonstrate how they integrated these skills in their programs. |

The 50% benchmark is based on the number of affiliates that submit outreach proposals only 12 of the 25 are required to do the Working for Minors trainings. The 12 will have participated in a minimum of 3 trainings by Winter quarter and be able to articulate 3 best practices during their end of year presentations. |
