Outcome RE-ASSESSING 2022-23 (FINANCE): Students participating in The Level Up Program on the Finance Team will learn and apply Student Center billing and invoicing policies and procedures in addition to practicing back-office administrative tasks and demonstrated competency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Students will also demonstrate proficiency in Student Affairs Learning Dimensions one through four (Problem Solving; Professionalism; Teamwork; Communication). This combined with approximately nine hours of mandatory UC-employee training will prepare the students for success in their current roles and prepare them for promotion to Level 3 of the four-level program. SCES ASSESSMENT MISSION STATEMENT: Foster the professional growth and development opportunities via four levels of employment increasing in responsibility for UCI undergraduate and graduate students preparing for success in their current employment and in future professional settings. STUDENT AFFAIRS LEARNING DOMAIN: Professional and Administrative Skills CAS DOMAINS: Knowledge acquisition, construction, integration and application; Cognitive complexity; Practical competence
Benchmark During the 22-23 assessment, it was noted that, “the finance team, still recovering post-COVID, was unable to acquire student team members. However, they were able to add full-time team members who successfully updated the job description and role for the student workforce. This resulted in their first student team member July 17 (just missing the 22-23 assessment period).” And whereas this is true, the team is considering re-writing their Job description to include HR -related work. We need to evaluate how quickly this new role is adopted, developed and deployed in Level Up as measured by whether a Leveling Document was created/updated for Levels 1, 2, 3, or 4. –All students are expected to complete approximately 9 hours of UCLC mandatory training. –All students are expected to complete the Student Center Approach to Quality Service quiz (part of a UNIT PROGRAM assessment) –Students consistently receive a Learning Dimension Score when leveling up (promoting).
