Outcome |
The Umoja Pilot Program will establish a quarterly program focused on campus belonging and engagement in collaboration with SSI, the CBCRR, BSU and the Umoja club. The quarterly program will equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to their integration on campus through a culturally affirming space so they can flourish socially at UCI. Students will also be equipped with resources and additional campus support that they can utilize to overcome any obstacles they may face throughout their time at UCI. A post-assessment survey will be shared at the end of the quarterly collaboration to find the students confidence in community engagement would have increased by 10-15% from their pre-survey. |
Benchmark |
80% of program participants will have participated in at least one Umoja sponsored event for the academic year and 65% would have scheduled a follow up meeting with a Umoja Peer educator. |
