Outcome Participants in the Student Leadership Institute for Climate Resilience (SLICR) can better understand and describe basic concepts of sustainability and community resilience; be able to use leadership practices and skills that develop personal resilience; and be able to use leadership practices and skills that enable effective action for campus and community resilience.
Benchmark In the 15 question pre and post test, 80% of participants will self-report agree or strongly agree in all 15 Likert scale questions post test. Sample Questions: (Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neither Disagree or Agree, Agree, Strongly Agree) I can explain the connection between social equity and environmental issues to my friends and family. In conversation, I can explain the key ways that communities build social equity as they build community climate resilience. I am prepared to take action as a leader for community climate resilience.
