CARE peer educators will develop public speaking and program/event coordination skills, in addition to demonstrating a high level of knowledge relating to power-based personal violence dynamics and campus/community resources. Outcomes will be measured through evaluations and direct assessment by CARE staff. |
Benchmark |
1.) 100% of students in the CARE peer education programs will receive a passing score of 70% on an exam developed and administered by CARE staff which indicates a high level of knowledge on topics related to power-based personal violence dynamics.
2.) 100% of students in CARE peer education programs will deliver a practical presentation to CARE staff who will assess success using the CARE Rubric for Peer Educator Programs which measures knowledge and skills relating to social norms, definitions of violence, bystander intervention, trauma-informed response, support resources, reporting rights and options, presentation skills, and program/event coordination. Having completed this practical presentation and passed with at least a score of 24 out of a possible 40 points, students in peer education programs will receive approval to plan and facilitate workshops/programs. |
