Outcome ASSESSING 2022-23 (FINANCE): Students participating in The Level Up Program at Level 2 on the Finance Team will learn and apply Student Center billing and invoicing policies and procedures in addition to practicing back-office administrative tasks and demonstrated competency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Students will also demonstrate proficiency in Student Affairs Learning Dimensions one through four (Problem Solving; Professionalism; Teamwork; Communication). This combined with approximately nine hours of mandatory UC-employee training will prepare the students for success in their current roles and prepare them for promotion to Level 3 of the four-level program. Students must complete 450 hours of experience at Level 2 to be eligible for promotion to Level 3. MISSION STATEMENT: Foster the academic, social, and cultural mission of the university with student involvement and development opportunities via employment and mentoring outside the classroom in a world-class facility offering year-round conference and event production services. STUDENT AFFAIRS LEARNING DOMAIN: Professional and Administrative Skills CAS DOMAINS: Knowledge acquisition, construction, integration and application; Cognitive complexity; Practical competence
Benchmark Student(s), working under close supervision with Finance Manager and the Finance Analyst, will demonstrate detail-oriented work in the area of billing and invoicing. 1:1 Interviews/supervision Competency in the four Student Affairs Learning Dimensions is assessed with a pre-determined rubric. Students receive up to four points across each Dimension for a total of 16 possible points. This is done during 1:1 interviews and through close supervision with each student prior to promotion. Low scores may prohibit the student from promoting to the next level without specialized or additional training if helpful. Checklist: The Level Up Program is a learning management system that serves as a checklist of assigned training and student accomplishments. Other: Students participating at Level 2 must complete at least 450 hours of experience before being eligible for promotion to Level 3 of the four-level program.
