Click Here for Details 2020-2021 Yes UCI Esports Scholarship Player Health and Wellness Program The students that participate in the UCI Esports Health and Wellness Program learn about different aspects of general health (anatomy, physiology). They learn about how health data is collected during a physical assessment, the interpretation of values and classifications, also, how these measured metrics can be changed through changes in physical activity, nutritional habits and sleep. Students learn about their own health measurement values and classifications, which enables them to discover more about their own individual health status. A formal exercise program is conducted with students where they participate in a variety of physical activities (strength training and cardiovascular exercise). This provides them with a direct means to work towards the physical activity goals that they set for themselves at the beginning of the academic quarter. A summary report of all physical measures is produced at the end of each quarter summarizing all participants data which is compared to normative data from the scientific literature. The report enables them to learn where their personal physical scores rank with normative data from the general public and how it ranks with their peers. Educational seminars and other resources on several health-related topics are delivered to students where they further learn about how modification in health-related habits can help the body adapt for a more positive outcome. Personal Responsibility
