Click Here for Details 2022-2023 No DSC Siteimprove Learning Circle Program Outcome: Siteimprove, a UCOP-funded service, monitors UC websites, generates accessibility reports, and offers an online learning platform. In 2021, DSC launched the Siteimprove Summer Camp for faculty and staff, inviting them from across the campus to form a learning community around Siteimprove and digital accessibility. It started as an incentive for our own staff to explore accessibility more deeply and improve the accessibility of our own website. Outcome #1: The DSC Siteimprove Learning Circle will continue to build a community of staff and faculty. Outcome #2: This program will raise awareness of Siteimprove and build skills in order to increase usage of the tool and to improve campus digital accessibility. Through peer/parallel learning, attendees will complete Siteimprove Academy courses or modules that have been announced ahead of time and how to apply what has been learned. Click Here for Details 2021-2022 Yes DSC Peer Mentor Project Development Student engagement is crucial to success in higher education programs, particularly with disabled students. In order to advance and promote student engagement in DSC, a peer mentoring program is being developed using disabled student peer mentors. DSC will recruit and train seven peer mentors. The peer mentors will learn robust aspects of being a Peer Educator through participation in the NASPA - Virtual Certified Peer Educator training, such as Being an Effective Listener, Bystander Intervention, Intrapersonal Applications of Identity, etc. Peer Mentors will also be exposed to or explore at least 3-5 campus resources. Click Here for Details 2022-2023 No DSC Student Advisory Council Unit Outcome: DSC will engage with 5 registered students with disabilities to create an advisory committee dedicated to provide insight into the UCI disabled student experience. The goal of this committee is to cultivate an awareness of disabled students' needs to enhance DSC programs and services. 1. Establish the program by creating an advisory charter. 2. Recruit 5 students. 3. Monthly meetings with DSC Director. 4. Committee evaluation and analysis of 3 DSC programs and services. Leadership Development

Click Here for Details 2018-2019 Yes Anteater Disability Ally Training UCI students registered with the Disability Services Center will attend a 3-hour Anteater Ally Training session focused on educating the participants about disability and disability accommodations through a social justice lens. The highly interactive workshop will be taught by DSC-registered student assistants who have experience and training in disability history, microaggressions, etc. The workshop will support the DSC ZotAbility Campaign to eliminate, eradicate, and obliterate embarrassment, stereotypes, and unconscious bias associated with disability. As a result of this training, participants will demonstrate self-advocating behaviors and skills and be encouraged to create electronic portfolios to tell their stories. Click Here for Details 2017-2018 Yes Anteater Ally Workshop Students who have completed the 2 hour Anteater Ally Workshop provided by student peers and staff in the Disability Services Center will increase their knowledge and awareness of diversity as it relates to disability as an identity. Students will gain a personal awareness of bias, microaggressions and identify at least 2 strategies to employ to increase awareness and equity for people with disabilities at UCI. Click Here for Details 2017-2018 Yes Program Development Student Assistants working at DSC will create a 30-minute program for students with disabilities to foster community or instruct on specific skills. Student Assistants will be required to attend the Anteater Ally program and to assess the needs of students with disabilities during the Fall quarter by questionnaire, survey or focus group. The social media platforms of the DSC exist to promote awareness of global issues of intersectional identities, equity, and access. Social media student assistants will learn to explore social media platforms and create meaningful, relevant and accessible content. They will create, produce and post 10 TikTok videos, weekly Instagram posts and weekly Facebook posts. Professional & Administrative Skills

Click Here for Details 2018-2019 Yes Safety Awareness and Strategies Workshops As a result of participating in safety workshops, UCI students who experience disabilities will learn on-and off- campus safety skills, techniques, strategies and resources. Workshops will be provided through collaborative participation by the UCIPD, the DSC team, and DSC-registered students. Learning will be determined by comparing pre- and post test results, with a final 90% completion accuracy. The workshops will be an essential part of the ZotAbility Campaign to eliminate, eradicate, and obliterate misconceptions, stereotypes, and unconscious bias experienced by those with disabilities, particularly regarding self advocacy, independence, and safety.
